I have reconstituted the Boom Sling! It supplies remote phantom power to the mic, has a headphone amp where the Boom-Op can hear just the mic, the mix from the mixer, or anywhere in between. New to the sling is the wireless capability. Now the Boom-Op will be free to wander, while the Mixer can phone-it-in from Craft Services! Kids today have it so easy. After passing the backyard test, I’m ready to whip this out on set today.
